Underwater Ladder is often used for people to go up and down from the deck or the steps of a cruise ship into the water, or to assist people in going up from the water to the deck or the ship.
Underwater Ladder must be extended below the water level to be effective. We like ladders with at least 2 to 3 steps beneath the water surface.
Gangway: Usually used for speedboats and small sailboats.
Swimming ladder: It hangs down from the swimming steps, usually retracting below the steps or folding at the top of the steps. Since the swimming steps are much lower than the sides of the boat, these ladders usually only require 1 to 3 steps.
Platform ladder: A mini swimming step is created on one side of the outboard motor or external drive. These come with platforms and sidebars. The crossbeam ladders on sailboats are hinged up and down, usually matching the appearance of the pusher.
Detachable ladder: Installed in a bracket bolted to the hull or deck. There are keyhole slots on the bracket, which can firmly fix the ladder but can be quickly removed for storage.
Many ladders are folded in half so that they can stay where they are and not be dragged in the water. It can be folded when boarding the boat and unfolded when swimming. They are also easier to store.
